Lakewood Longhorn Cheer
We are excited about the upcoming season. We look forward to providing new and returning cheerleaders with a quality program that helps all participants learn and understand the sport of cheerleading in a safe & respectful environment that allows the cheerleaders to grow personally and athletically.
At LPJF we pride ourselves in promoting the sport of cheer as athletic, disciplined and competitive activity. We emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, dedication, perseverance, and commitment. Every cheerleader who participates in our program is required to make a full commitment to their teams. Participating in our program not only prepares our youth for a future at the high school level athletically and academically.
Our cheer program, is proud to be a strong youth program for girls ages 5 to 14. Our cheer teams travel with the football teams and perform in front of our fans during each game. In addition to performing at football games our cheer teams are involved in competitive cheer competitions regionally and nationally.
Our cheer program offers the following:
Cheer team sizes are limited and are filled on a first come, first serve basis. We do not hold tryouts, all girls are welcome.
To guarantee a place on a team we strongly suggest signing up early. Our cheerleading teams are an essential part of our football program. By providing a wholesome environment for athletic competition Lakewood Cheer will instill in our youth the challenge of competition, the joy of victory, the reality of defeat, the importance of commitment, and the spirit of community.

All games are on Saturdays. Some home games may be played at Rancho Dominguez, Mayfair, Gahr and Valley Christian High Schools and Vets Stadium. Away games will vary by location.
Cheer uniforms are NOT a part of the cheer registration fees. They are purchased by each cheerleader and the uniforms are theirs to keep.
Our Cheer organization does participate in league authorized fundraising in an effort to offset associated costs with cheer, competitionts, etc… so our families to not have to burden the full cost of cheer. Cheer is responsible for league and team fundraisers.
